TESTIMONY OF:
MARGARET SCHNEIDER
American College of Emergency Physicians
ACEP CA Chapter
505 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Suite 12
Manhattan Beach, CA. 90266

Margeret Schneider: My name is Dr. Margaret Schneider. I'm an emergency physician that's been practicing in the State of California for seven years. I represent the California Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. We are strongly opposed to 244. We feel it is important that everybody spend the health care dollar frugally. We feel that the statistics have shown that helmets work and we hope that you will continue to require the motorcycle riders to do their part to decrease the risk of serious injury and the costs incurred to treat those. Thank you.

Senator Kelley: Thank you. The gentleman in the back there sir.

Senator Russell: Mr. Chairman, I think you've been more than generous with the opposition. We are hearing now anecdotal stories about . . .

Senator Kelley: I understand here that have opposition statements. There's one, two, three, four of you. I'll let those gentlemen make their statements and that will conclude the opposition statements. So if would please sir in the back. Very brief sir.
